An Introduction To Content Marketing
Content marketing is a beautiful thing. Each year, the amount of money spent on content marketing by companies increases. Why? It’s effective in developing thought-leadership, and it helps your audience form an opinion about you and/or your product/service.
Joe Pulizzi from the Content Marketing Institute defines content marketing as, “Content marketing is the strategic marketing approach of creating and distributing valuable, relevant and consistent content to attract and acquire a clearly defined audience – with the objective of driving profitable customer action.”
The infographic below is a brief introduction to some of the high-level aspects of content-marketing, starting with information about a special type of website called a content management system that’s used in blogging, and ending with distribution of content through social media. While there are certainly other types of content besides infographics and videos that one could produce, this was meant to provide a few brief examples rather than be all encompassing.
